Edwardian jewelry

The platinum and diamond jewelry of the early 1900s: light, lacy and garlanded.

Edwardian jewelry is named after King Edward VII, who reigned from 1901 to 1910, though the style runs to the First World War. It coincides with the French Belle Époque. Its signature is platinum set with old European cut diamonds and pearls in light, lace-like designs: garlands, bows, tassels and swags inspired by the eighteenth century.

Millegrain edges, knife-edge bars and open, airy settings are typical.
