Bombé
A domed, rounded form that swells outward, typical of rings of the 1950s to 1970s.
Bombé rings, sometimes called dome rings or boule rings, cover the finger with a generous mound of gold or pavé stones. The form suits textured gold and pavé alike.
What to look for
On pavé bombé rings, check for missing stones and worn prongs on the high points.
