Bow brooch

A brooch in the shape of a ribbon tied in a bow.

Bows were a favourite motif of the eighteenth century and the Belle Époque, in diamonds and platinum, and returned in Art Deco and Retro jewels in new forms.

What to look for

Look for missing stones, replaced stones in a different cut, and repairs to the ribbon ends.
