Two-tone gold
Jewelry combining yellow and white gold, or gold and platinum, for contrast.
White metal was often used to set diamonds in a yellow gold piece, so that the stones looked whiter. The combination was common in the Retro period and in the 1950s, and gold with platinum is typical of fine jewels from the 1940s onwards.
What to look for
Look at the joins between the two metals for solder repairs, and check that white areas have not been plated over.
