Ludo

A Van Cleef & Arpels design of supple bracelets made of small gold links, introduced in 1934.

Named after Louis Arpels, known as Ludo, the design used a flexible mesh of hexagonal or brick-shaped links, sometimes set with gems, typical of the house in the 1930s and 1940s.

What to look for

Check the mesh for broken links and the clasp for wear.
