Halo ring
A ring in which a central stone is framed by a circle of smaller stones.
Cluster rings with a border of smaller stones have been made since the eighteenth century. The modern halo became widely popular from the 2000s.
What to look for
Check the small stones and their prongs, which are easily damaged.
