The story

Created by Van Cleef & Arpels in the 1990s, this sculptural ring brings together the soft luminosity of two white pearls and the silvery depth of a tahitian pearl. Arranged asymmetrically across a broad, diamond-set band, the pearls appear nestled among overlapping, petal-like forms paved with round brilliant-cut diamonds. Marquise-cut diamonds trace the edges of these curved elements, their elongated silhouettes introducing a sense of movement and lending definition to the otherwise fluid composition.

The design reflects Van Cleef & Arpels' enduring fascination with nature, interpreted here through generous proportions and an interplay of contrasting surfaces. The smooth, spherical pearls offer a quiet counterpoint to the brilliance of approximately 4.25 carats of diamonds, while the substantial white gold setting gives the ring a distinctly architectural presence.

Particularly noteworthy are its French hallmarks and the maker's mark of Lasbleiz Fournier Vitello, a Parisian workshop closely associated with Van Cleef & Arpels. Such workshop marks offer an additional layer of interest for collectors, connecting the finished jewel to the specialist artisans responsible for its creation.

A composition of luminous spheres and unfolding curves, where the softness of pearls meets the restless light of diamonds.
