The story

Made in Switzerland circa 1850, this charming bracelet is composed of slender cylindrical links in 18K rose gold, each finished with finely textured yellow gold collars. Small white pearls appear at measured intervals, their gentle luster providing a subtle contrast to the warmth of the metal. The alternating elements create an elegant, almost architectural rhythm, while the articulated construction lends the bracelet a lightness and fluidity on the wrist.

Suspended from the chain is a miniature gold cradle, its rounded body delicately engraved with a crosshatched pattern and its upper framework fashioned in fine, curving gold elements. A tiny pearl rests within the composition, giving the charm an especially intimate character. The cradle belongs to the sentimental vocabulary of nineteenth-century jewelry, when miniature objects were often worn as personal tokens of affection, family, and remembrance.

The combination of carefully worked gold, modestly scaled pearls, and a playful yet meaningful pendant reflects the Victorian taste for jewels that carried a private significance. At just 9.14 grams, the bracelet is wonderfully delicate, its charm revealing itself gradually through the intricacy of its smallest details.

A little cradle suspended in gold, preserving the tenderness of another century.
