The story
Crafted in 18K yellow gold, this delicate necklace takes the form of an elaborate drapery, composed of fine curb-link chains arranged in overlapping festoons. From a gently curved upper chain, successive lengths of gold descend in graduated arcs, creating an airy, openwork composition reminiscent of suspended fabric. Small white pearls punctuate the design, some hanging freely from slender vertical chains, others resting at the lowest points of the sweeping curves.
The necklace recalls the ornamental vocabulary of nineteenth-century jewelry, particularly the festoon and drapery designs inspired by classical garlands and textile embellishments. Its carefully balanced arrangement of chains gives the piece a remarkable sense of movement, while the pearls introduce a quiet contrast to the warmth of the gold. Measuring 37 cm in length and weighing just 10 grams, it possesses an almost weightless delicacy, allowing the intricate pattern to rest softly against the neckline.
A garland of golden threads, its gentle curves held in place by drops of pearl.
