Antique Geometric Onyx, Mother-of-Pearl & Diamond Pendant

This refined antique pendant is distinguished by a bold geometric composition, emblematic of late 19th-century experimentation with form and contrast. Crafted in 18k gold, the pendant is built around a stepped square motif, architectural in spirit and meticulously balanced.

At its center lies a black onyx baguette-cut element, its deep, velvety tone anchoring the design. Flanking the onyx are panels of luminous mother-of-pearl, whose soft iridescence introduces light and subtle color play—an elegant counterpoint to the darkness of the onyx. This interplay of materials is both deliberate and sophisticated, enhancing depth without ornamentation.

Encircling the composition is a border of old mine–cut diamonds, totaling approximately 0.60 carat. The diamonds, graded SI1 clarity and J color, emit a warm, understated sparkle characteristic of antique cutting, reinforcing the pendant’s period authenticity rather than modern brilliance.
