Born in Mulhouse in 1907, Jean Schlumberger began with buttons and costume jewelry for Elsa Schiaparelli, opened in New York after the war and joined Tiffany in 1956. His flowers, sea creatures, paillonné enamel bracelets and the Sixteen Stone ring were worn by Jacqueline Kennedy and many others.
