JAR
Joel Arthur Rosenthal, the New York-born jeweler working in Paris since 1978, and the most exclusive name in modern jewelry.
JAR makes very few pieces a year in his salon on Place Vendôme, known for subtle colour gradations in pavé, flowers, butterflies and unexpected materials such as aluminium. His jewels rarely appear on the market, and set records when they do.
Signature and marks
Pieces are stamped JAR, usually with Paris. Provenance and documentation are especially important.
