Charles Jacqueau

Cartier’s great designer of the Art Deco years, who worked for the house from 1909.

Charles Jacqueau joined Louis Cartier in 1909 and remained one of the house’s principal designers for decades. His drawings shaped the Persian, Chinese and Indian inspirations of Cartier’s Art Deco jewels, including the colour combinations of blue and green that became a Cartier signature.

Signature and marks

Pieces carry the Cartier signature. His hand is recognised through the archive drawings.
