Vintage 1980s Bvlgari Two-Tone Tubogas Wrap Watch

Created by Bulgari circa the 1980s, this sculptural wristwatch is formed in alternating 18K yellow and white gold, its tightly articulated Tubogas construction sweeping around the wrist in multiple supple coils. The compact 19 mm black dial provides a dark, graphic counterpoint to the warm and cool bands of polished gold, while the bezel bears the house name in bold relief. At approximately 127.4 grams, the piece has the substantial physical presence characteristic of Bulgari’s jewel-watches, yet the continuous construction gives that weight remarkable visual fluidity.
